Emery Atkinson & Episode 26, What's The Link?

The latest installment of "The OT" is ready for your ears.

In this edition we catch up with championship winning guard Joe Ingles of the South Dragons. He talks about where he thinks he will be next year.

Also we talk to Wollongong Hawks captain Matt Campbell. Mr Everything in the "Steel City" at the moment, Campbell explains how you can help him save the Hawks.

DJ Rod and I talk a little NCAA and the Player Points System within the NBL.

Take a listen and tell us what you think.

Next time you hear from me I will be in the Valley of the Sun stalking Shaq and taking in the NCAA tourney live.

Emery finished up playing CBA 4 West Sydney with Norman Taylor, and still lives there. I just heard them mention they didn't know where to find him. Any good show would use the Internet to research.

Emery was a beast in his Canberra Cannons days. Emery and Willie Simmons (along with Tad Dufelmeier) were a great one two punch. BTW, how did that team get away with three Americans, was that pre the 2 import per team rule?

BTW. JR, definitely blog the tournament for us. Which games are you going to?
I can't wait for kickoff tomorrow, it's a basketball fest.

Tad Dufelmeier was a naturalized Aussie. He still lives here. Unlike Scott Fisher who became one, just 4 his own personal gain, so he could play at the Olympics, then he went back home for more money.

Tad Dufelmeier was sick when he puched out a few people, on the court too, he wasnt scaired either.

Fact: Dufelmeir was the first dude to wear black Jordan 4's in the NBL.
Emery Atkinson second.

I think you guys need to get Eric on the OT, he knows his stuff.

The E factor went back to the states and got married.

If you happen to listen we were well aware that Emery did not wear number 26. In fact no one has so we went with some type of theme that represented the number in NBL history.

Emery has been the only guy to have ever scored 26 in a quarter, hence it being episode Emery Atlinson.

Eric:
r u sure they were not 3's?.

You are right too.

JR:
I don't listen to your show because of that other guys voice, he has no place in radio, but a very good face/look 4 radio i think. So i did not even download it or play it.
Sorry, but it just puts me right off what im doing at the time.

Emery Atkinson wore Hi-Top Converse, not Jordans. He even painted them black (more like dark blue) himself (ask him, or go look up the footage, these were not available in that colour) Emery was 1 of the 1st 2 wear black/dark shoes, but not Jordans tho.

Jerry Everett was the 1st guy ever to wear Bike Pants in a NBL game in 1988. The trend took off a year later with most of the other teams imports.

Would you like me to get a voice-box transplant or something?

Stealing my lines to DJ ROD?

Why not follow the master!

Ahh Jerry Everitt wore bike pants first? Good memory. Lanard Copeland wore his LA Clippers bike pants in his first season for the Tigers.
