Crocs/Wildcats Starting To Talk It Up

Too much fruit is not a good thing for Paul Rogers. He is carry around an extra melon right now.

On Friday night the Townsville Crocodiles will host the Perth Wildcats in their season home opener.

This game will have some extra spice as it was the Crocodiles who ended the Wildcats 2008/09 season as Corey "Homicide" Williams taunted the Perth crowd with his jersey antics.

It is less than 48 hours until the two franchises lock horns for the first time this season, and as expected players from both teams are using the media to try and get their message across.

There is a whole lot of flexing going on right now in the media, but I will be at the Swamp reporting on who gets the last word on this chapter.

I look forward to this being a four chapter epic throughout the season.

Oh, and we haven't even touched on Peter Crawford and Jeff Dowdell playing against their former team.

Perth continue to tell us they are going to "let the dogs off the leash" this season and it seems Brad Robbins will get the task of impounding Williams tomorrow night.

Williams mentioned that teams can expect to come into town, turn around with their tail between the legs and leave as losers.

In some not so good news for the Wildcats, it seems like centre and former NBL MVP Paul Rogers will miss the "Sunshine Swing" road double. He has a problem with a rockmelon on his elbow.
