Durant Wins NBA ROY

ROY...Kevin Durant

The Seattle SuperSonics finally have something to cheer about this season. Kevin Durant has been named Rookie of the Year. Besides not winning many games (20), the Sonics are going to be relocated to Oklahoma City in the near future so its been a long year for the men from the Emerald City.

I cannot do Durant the justice he deserves so I will turn it over to the biggest Sonics fan I have ever met west of Pike Place Markets. Check out fellow blogger DJ Leon Smith and his thoughts on the rookie of the year award. Priceless.

Also making news in the NBA; Sonics will keep PJ Carlesimo on as coach. Phoenix Suns may be looking for a new coach. Denver coach to crack the whip next season. Wild Child Dennis Rodman in trouble with the law again. Critics are saying MJ and new Bobcats coach Larry Brown will clash.

Here is a good read from ESPN's Page 2 writer Bill Simmons about the Suns situation.

In NBL news; Expect to see former Crocs player Greg Vanderjadt to sign with the Brisbane Bullets shortly. Adelaide 36ers will escape being fined as they had permission to talk to player.

Kevin Durant is like a cross between Steve McLeod, Andre Moore, Winston Crite and Lyndon Brieffies. HOF status already.
